Last Night Shenanigans

Last night we went to dinner will all the Chinese students and professors.  It was really good. Everything was family style.  The server put all sorts of different delicious dishes in the center of the table and everyone picked what they wanted to eat.  Then we went to “KTV” or as we call it karaoke.  It was a super swanky room and there must have been 30 of us rocking out.  The system was high tech including flat screens, leather couches, and complimentary snacks.  The system was touch screen.  The extrovert in me decided to socialize more than sing so I did not take a turn on the mic.  That’s ok, I don’t think anyone was missing out on my amazing singing abilities!

After karaoke, we traveled to a Beijing nightclub.  It reminded me of Vegas because there were several dance floors with different DJs.  It was super fun but again, there were way too many people.  You could barely move.  All the people are very nice and so being a little pushy gets anyone through anything over here.  I just forged the way through the crowd.  Definitely not for people who dislike crowds.  I asked for the bathroom and was led to a where the door was flushed with the wall.  It was so cool and ended up being a private bathroom.  It was pretty sweet.

All packed up and one hop, skip and jump away to Guiyang.  I will miss Beijing, but excited for the new adventure!

We made it to Guiyang and it is so humid and nice here.  The region is beautiful.  Tomorrow we go to a minority village beause the governor is renting out the place we are staying.  Not sure when I will get internet again, but will update as soon as possible!
